STOCKTON, Calif. -- A San Joaquin grand jury returned a 67-count indictment against a Tracy plastic surgeon who is charged with molesting his patients.
The 15-page indictment accuses Dr. Peter Chi of molesting 36 of his patients -- all of them female and one of them a child.
Many of the victims were unconscious and under anesthesia at the time.
The 46-year-old physician was in Stockton court on Wednesday and was to enter a plea.
However, because of the indictment, the arraignment was continued to June 24 and a gag order was continued.
The judge ordered the grand jury transcript which numbers over a thousand pages and had dozens of witnesses to remain sealed.
Chi was the head of Beauty Renewed Laser Skin Center in Tracy.
