[El Dorado County] EID board to consider action against Prada for misconduct

The El Dorado Irrigation District board will consider taking action Monday against board member Greg Prada for misconduct.
On the agenda is an item asking if EID  wants to send a letter from the Board of Directors to the (1) California Fair Political Practices Commission; (2) El Dorado County Grand Jury; (3) El Dorado County district attorney; and (4) Placerville Police Department, in support of those entities conducting a timely investigation into the complaint of alleged misconduct by board member Greg Prada.
The allegation is that Prada threatened to blackmail EID General Counsel Brian Poulsen if Poulsen did not help Prada secure a majority board vote in favor of paying for outside counsel for Prada in his dispute with EID regarding certain Public Record Act requests and the subsequent Grand Jury Report.
The board will also consider adopting a policy governing EID’s Information Systems, reconsider their determination that the use of recycled water for irrigation of the common areas within the Serrano Village J6 development is not economically feasible, consider awarding a contract to CDW-G in the amount of $505,447 for a VMware Enterprise License Agreement providing software support and licensing for a term of three years and authorize project funding of $175,000 for VMware License Purchases and consider adopting a resolution declaring the agency’s intent to retain control of the district’s conserved water in light of passage of two water conservation bills, making it clear that the district reserves the right to use, sell, lease, exchange or transfer the conserved water in the future.
The board meeting begins at 9 a.m. and is held in the district board room, 2890 Mosquito Road, Placerville.
